The first edition of “Valle Christi Jazz” represents one of the best proposals in the summer music scene of Rapallo.
The Cultural Association Valle Christi conceived for the first time a festival dedicated to Jazz music, with 4 concerts of high artistic level, starring some of the best Italian musician that are also well known abroad.
The first concert, “Kind of Bill”, a tribute to the music of Bill Evans by the Dado Moroni Trio, was held on last June 25th on Rapallo seafront, while the next three nights will have as stage the magnificent ruins of Valle Christi Monastery, where every year the famous Theatre Festival takes place during the months of July and August.

July 14th – 9.30 pm – “Swing All Stars” with six extraordinary jazz players like Rossano Sportiello (piano), Alfredo Ferrario (clarinet), Fabrizio Cattaneo (trumpet), Danilo Moccia (trombone), Aldo Zunino (double bass) and Stefano Bagnoli (drums).
July 20th – 9.30 pm – “Roma to Paris” by the On Air Trio with Alessandro Collina (piano), Marc Peillon (double bass) and Rodolfo Cervetto (drums). Featuring Max Ionata (saxophone).
July 29th – 9.30 pm – Concert by Mattia Cigalini Quartet, with Mattia Cigalini (alto saxophone), Paolo Birro (piano), Marc Abrams (double bass) and Mauro Beggio (drums).
In case of bad weather conditions the concerts will take place at Clarisse Theatre.
